A thrilling new chapter in the Monster Hunter series is coming to mobile! Capcom and TiMi Studio Group, the team behind hits like Call of Duty Mobile, Pokémon Unite, and Age of Empires Mobile, have joined forces to develop Monster Hunter Outlanders. This free-to-play, fully-featured mobile game promises an authentic Monster Hunter experience with a twist: expansive open-world exploration, multiplayer hunts, and a variety of biomes to explore—all optimized for mobile.
According to Capcom, Monster Hunter Outlanders will be a fresh take on the series, featuring detailed graphics, familiar monsters like the Anjanath and Great Jagras, and immersive environments that mobile players can dive into, whether solo or with friends. The game’s trailer teases an exciting world filled with intense battles, and it even includes a glider for navigating the vast landscapes, reminiscent of the one in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
“Our goal with Monster Hunter Outlanders is to bring the full hunting experience to mobile, complete with community and social features that players expect today,” says Dong Huang, producer at TiMi Studio Group. “This isn’t just another Monster Hunter mobile game; it’s a massive, open-world adventure crafted for mobile gamers and fans of the franchise alike.”
Set to distinguish itself from other mobile adaptations, Monster Hunter Outlanders will deliver a more traditional Monster Hunter experience than Monster Hunter Now, the augmented reality title launched by Niantic in 2023. With a planned calendar of hunts, world events, and ongoing activities, the game will offer plenty of reasons for players to keep exploring and hunting with friends.
While an official release date hasn’t been confirmed, TiMi Studio Group plans to hold several playtests to refine gameplay and gather feedback from fans. Meanwhile, Capcom is also building excitement with the upcoming release of Monster Hunter Wilds for consoles and PC, which has already drawn in over 463,000 players on Steam and launches on Xbox, PS5, and PC on February 28.
So, gear up and prepare for adventure—Monster Hunter Outlanders is poised to bring an action-packed experience right to your pocket!
