Daniel Neeson took to Instagram on Monday to pay homage to his late mother, Natasha Richardson, marking 15 years since her untimely passing. Sharing a poignant message alongside a captivating black-and-white photograph, the 27-year-old, son of Natasha and Liam Neeson, expressed his deep emotions, stating, “15 years since you’ve left this plane onto forever more. I look forward to reuniting one day but for now, I take solace in knowing you’re beside me every step of the way. Hopefully, I’m making you proud.”
In his heartfelt tribute, Daniel also reminisced about his mother’s fondness for margaritas, humorously adding, “I think you would definitely be proud of my margarita skills. She was the OG margarita mama! As a kid, I used to ask her for a sip of hers, and she would gently say ‘not till you’re older.'”
Referencing his own venture into the tequila business with De-Nada Tequila, Daniel reflected on the unexpected twists of fate, noting, “Little did she know I would one day start my own tequila brand and have way too many margaritas at my fingertips.”
Drawing wisdom from his aunt, Joely Richardson, Daniel shared insights about embracing change and the interconnectedness of all through love, concluding, “We’re all interconnected here and over there through love. The greatest life force. Choose it above all else.”
Natasha’s close friend, Andy Cohen, joined the chorus of support, affirming Daniel’s tribute and reminiscing about Natasha’s love for margaritas, echoing, “Your mom would LOVE your margaritas, and she was the supreme connoisseur!”
Natasha Richardson tragically passed away on March 18, 2009, following a skiing accident at Quebec’s Mont Tremblant. She is survived by her husband, Liam Neeson, and their sons, Daniel and Micheál Richardson.
Reflecting on coping with the loss in a Rolling Stone interview, Liam Neeson shared gratitude for the support received from family and friends, emphasizing the importance of their presence during such challenging times.
