The Yeti Hunt event in GTA Online: Quick guide to all map locations
The recent weekly update in GTA Online introduces an exciting opportunity for players to embark on the Yeti Hunt, a thrilling quest to locate the elusive mythical creature within the game. As the name implies, this event involves discovering clues that ultimately lead to encountering the creature itself.
To initiate the hunt, players must venture to the northern part of the map, just above the Fort Zancudo area. Upon arrival, they will receive a text message from Tanner, containing the following cryptic message:
“Hey. You a hunter? You better be. Cuz there’s something in those woods. And it ain’t a bar. Trust me. Damn thing nearly killed me once. They’ll say you’re crazy till you get this hide. Then you’ll be laughing all the way to the bank.”
This text triggers a significant circular marker on the map, indicating the region encompassing all the crucial clues. There are a total of five distinct clue locations that players must uncover to successfully complete the event and unlock the coveted GTA Online Yeti Outfit:
Each clue discovered rewards players with a substantial $10,000. By collecting all five clues, participants stand to earn a total of $50,000 through the Yeti Hunt.
Once all clues have been found, players must navigate to a specific circled area on the map during the hours of 9:00 pm and 6:00 am to confront the Yeti. The creature aggressively charges toward them with lethal intent, necessitating swift defeat.
Vanquishing the Yeti not only yields an additional $50,000 in rewards but also grants access to the exclusive Yeti Outfit. While challenging to eliminate, the most effective strategy involves continuous movement while engaging the creature with firearms. Sticky Bombs, Shotguns, and LMGs have proven particularly effective against the formidable beast.
Subsequently, players can equip the obtained Yeti Outfit from the Wardrobe selection under the Festive category in Outfits. Additionally, completing the GTA Online Snowmen collectible event during the Holiday season unlocks a Snowman outfit for players to enjoy.
